Sunday updates and quick recipe

Image
Hello and Happy Sunday!!! It was a really great weekend here. We got quite a bit done this weekend, went to Costco, Tractor supply, had lunch, and of course the hubby worked on his new to him tractor, and I worked in the garden.  Frank got a new to him Kubota L185. I'm not exactly sure when it was made but sometime in the late 70s or early 80s. He got it as a project tractor. It came with a finish mower, and I think he's planning on seeing how much quicker he can get the mowing done using this little speed demon of a tractor. I was able to harvest the first of the lettuce from the garden. For dinner last night I made BLT chaffles (recipe for the chaffles will be below) That lettuce was some of the best I've had in a while. I think there must just be something better about harvesting your own anything out of the garden. Tonight and tomorrow night though I have to go out and cover everything with some old bed sheets as it's calling for a freeze warning tonight and tomorr...

2 quick crochet dishcloths

Image
Here we go! I was almost done with these 2 patterns when I wrote the first intro blog post this morning. However I was still working on my first cups of coffee for the day, and well, as you know, some of us just don't function without our coffee, and I didn't want to jam my crochet hook into anyones eye!!! So these dishcloths are super simple, and super quick to work up, and they use such a small amount of yarn, that you could almost just use up those partial balls of cotton yarn you have hanging around. If I'm going to be totally honest, I always have tons of partial balls of cotton yarn hanging around.  For the first little dish cloth (the square one) you will need some ww cotton yarn and a H hook.   1)Ch 12, sc in second ch from hook, and each ch across 11 sc   2)Ch 2 turn, hdc in first sc, *sc in next sc, hdc in next sc* repeat across   3)Ch 1, turn *sc in each hdc, hdc in each sc across*  4)Ch 2, turn *hdc in each sc, sc in each hdc ac...

Introduction

Hello and Good Morning! My name is Brandi, I'm a housewife, and a dog mom. I know people either love or hate the whole dog mom or dog dad thing, but however you feel, there it is. In this blog I'm going to be sharing free crochet patterns written by me, gardening pictures and maybe tips, and recipes for stuff made out of my garden. I'm hoping to share content that you all will love. I'm of course also going to be sharing the random pictures of my dogs Mishka, Maple, Barley, and Amber. One of the things I am also planning on doing at some point is a crochet along for a blanket I'm working on designing and also I want to make some videos teaching the basics of crochet from my point of view. I'm going to keep this first post short as I need to get a few patterns ready to post so that I can get to sharing and you can get to crocheting!!!!
